Geekapalooza 2017
Geekapalooza is an annual technology showcase by some of Medicine Hat College’s biggest geeks. The goal for Geekapalooza is to inform, inspire and engage participants in the use of educational technology by sharing tools or techniques that are being used effectively by faculty and staff at Medicine Hat College. For the 10th anniversary of Geekapalooza I developed a unique, semi-retro pixel aesthetic in a bright blue and green colour palette. Using bright pixel illustrations and typography the entire campaign was well received on campus. The retro design was chosen as a throwback to older technology while expressing the fun and exciting personality of the event.
